How well do you know your drivers?

DUTY OF CARE
Simply taking a photocopy of your driver's licences when they enter into employment is no longer sufficient to fulfill your 'Duty of Care'. In fact, directors or the individual with delegated responsibility for licence checking may be liable if it can be shown that their negligence contributed directly to an injury.

A criminal offence of corporate manslaughter has been drafted (Corporate Killing), making it easier to prosecute companies responsible for fatal accidents. With an unlimited maximum penalty fora Corporate Killing conviction no company can take Duty of Care seriously enough.

The Health and Safety Executive recommend that licences should be checked routinely however, most fleet managers or HR managers simply don't have the time or resources to check driver's details on a regular basis.

Driver Check addresses this issue by offering you a convenient and comprehensive online portal which reduces administrative overhead. At the same time it provides the security of checking your registered drivers by accessing Licencing or other authority's records directly.
With our system you can check:

* If the driver ever passed a test.
* If the driver is currently banned.
* That the driver is entitled to drive the category of vehicle they are driving.
* The driver has any undisclosed points or endorsements on their licence.
* The driver's recorded address matches.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
All you need to do is register your driver's details with us and nominate how often you would like our system to check their records. Once your drivers have been added to the Driver Check system you will be provided with a username and password.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We charge a flat fee every time our system checks an individual driver's records. You can increase or decrease the frequency depending on a driver's status. Please give us a call if you want information on pricing.

For example, a driver with no endorsements may be considered 'low risk' in which case you could schedule them to be checked once per year. However a driver with a large number of endorsements may be considered 'high risk' and you may want to check their status every three months.

WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP?
Download a mandate (at the bottom of the page). Issue a copy to every driver you want to monitor. Once completed return them to us.

Once processed we'll issue you with the details necessary to access the system where you'll be able to perform an initial check and set the frequency the system checks individual driver's status.

Download a copy of the mandate.
